DIFD-15 - How to Reinstate Suspended Registration

  1. Secure a liability auto insurance policy meeting the minimum legal requirements under the Financial Responsibility Law. (The required minimum limits of your liability car insurance are:
  • $25,000 for each injury or death per accident;
  • $50,000 for total injuries or deaths per accident; and
  • $15,000 for property damage per accident.)
  1. Visit driveinsuredtn.com or visit your local county clerk to:
  • pay all coverage failure fees ($25 assessed for non-compliance after a first notice plus $100 assessed for non-compliance after a final notice), and
  • Pay the county reinstatement fee.
