VTR-70 - Drive Out Tags Shared by Dealerships

A dealership is allowed to share drive out tags with other dealers who have run out of drive out tags if the dealership is not using Print on Demand (POD) and is registered with the Motor Vehicle Commission. The dealership would need to keep records of any dealer plates it shared with another dealer, including a record of when the transfer occurred.  Both dealerships would need to submit a copy of the transfer record to the Inventory Unit so that the plates that were transferred can be matched appropriately in the system.
