Vehicles leased for a period of 90 days or more will be titled in the name of the lessor. The vehicle registration will show the name and address of the lessee, as the lessee is the owner of the registration plate itself. For leased vehicles, registrants will need to submit the following to their local county clerk:
- Multi-purpose Application for Title and Registration, found here;
- Lessor Authorization for Lessee to Register (Required for 90 days or more), found here;
- Certificate of Title, MSO or Certificate of Registration;
- Security Agreement, if applicable;
- Odometer Disclosure Statement, if applicable, found here;
- Power of Attorney for Vehicle Transactions, if applicable, found here; and
- Copy of Lease Agreement between lessor and lessee.
