DIFIC-7 – How This Program Helps Law Enforcement

Law enforcement will use this program as an additional aid in verifying insurance coverage.  However, drivers are still required to provide law enforcement with proof of financial responsibility, and therefore should keep their policy information on their person or in their vehicle.  In addition to aiding law enforcement, the program enables the state to monitor and enforce compliance with Tennessee’s financial responsibility laws.
