CS-Liens-1 - Why Liens are Filed Against Taxpayers

The Department of Revenue may file a lien against a person or business when outstanding tax liabilities are not paid or resolved in a timely manner. The Department will make several attempts to resolve outstanding balances due before filing a lien against the taxpayer. To see your outstanding tax balance(s), please log on to TNTAP to view your account at https://tntap.tn.gov/eservices/_/
