FST-2 - Types of Sports Contests Subject to Fantasy Sports Tax

Operators offering fantasy sports contests are subject to the fantasy sports privilege tax.  A taxable fantasy sports contest is an online simulated game that requires the payment of an entry fee to assemble imaginary teams of athletes.  These contests offer a potential award or prize to the players in advance of the online simulated game.  The winning outcome for each contest is based on the performance or finishing position of athletes in underlying amateur or professional competitions.
