BUS-44 - Department's Knowledge of a Taxpayer’s Local Personal Property Tax Liabilities

The Department of Revenue is informed as to the whether or not a taxpayer has outstanding local personal property tax liabilities. The Department is responsible for auditing the tax returns and verifying all deductions and credits. The Department performs office and field audits, including matching tax return data with data from other state and local agencies.
