Are there any fees associated with requesting records from the Department of Revenue?

Fees and charges for copies are as follows:

  1. $2.00 per tax return

 

  1. $1.00 per motor vehicle record

 

  1. $1.50 per certified motor vehicle record

 

  1. $0.15 per page for letter- and legal-size black and white copies.

 

  1. $0.50 per page for letter- and legal-size color copies.

 

  1. Labor when time exceeds 25 hours.

 

  1. If an outside vendor is used, the actual costs assessed by the vendor.

     

Payment may be made in cash, by personal check, cashier’s check or by credit card. Checks must be payable to the Tennessee Department of Revenue. Payment in advance may be required in all situations.
