How does the Department of Revenue provide records requested under the Open Records Act?

The Department provides copies of existing public records in its possession; however, the Department is not required to collect or sort through information, or to organize data to create a record that did not exist at the time of the request. (See Tenn. Code Ann. § 10-7-503(a)(4), (5)).
